Hi James,

Cool video, never used Pretty Links before but it looks really easy to use after you demonstrated it.

As I seem to blogging more and more lately it would be much better to stop hopping between my link cloaker and my blog, to just cloak the links right from inside my blog.

Will give it a try, Sally :)

Hey Sally,

Pretty Links is so easy to use I think I will be sticking with it unless something better comes along.

Thanks for the visit.

Hi James,

I can’t see the video but relax, it’s my old computer’s fault.

I think that there are different plug-ins for link cloaking but I never heard of this one.

I’ll check your video on another computer and will post another comment to let you know how I liked it.

Would you mind sharing if you use PC or Mac?

I’m trying to decide which one I should get.

Talk soon,

Hey Vance,

Not a problem your end.

Just found out the site where I hosted it has been
hacked so working on it now will update the post to show that in a min.

As for computers I am a pc man myself although I here Macs are very
good and would not say no to one I think I would get a pc as I would have it up and running quicker.

Cheers, hope to sort the video soon,

James

Hi James

Thsanks for the vid etc. Some interesting stuff on link-cloaking. I recently reviewed a product that does similar – though I haven’t installed it yet. It’s voer at my blog if you want to take a look.

Also, I use a linkcloaker created by a guy named Dave Guindon. He only shared it with people who bought a product from him, so I won’t disclose any info about it, except to say ir=t really works well.

That said, I’m sure Pretty Links will do the job, too.

Thanks for posting about it.
ps I’m an AJ student too.

Yeah…I agree…I use Pretty Link…best I’ve used so far….sure beats all that PHP crap, etc. That coding stuff is enough to make me flee IM. :)

Hi James,

Thanks for this awesome video. Actually I never heard of Pretty Links but the truth is there are so many tools out there that it’s almost impossible to decide what to use.
From the video it looks easy to use so I might give it a try.

Thanks for this share :)

Hi James

Certainly used the first two methods for link cloaking but I have to admit I’d not come across Pretty Link before now.

Thanks for the info – I’ll be adding that to my arsenal of tools.

I’m not entirely clear on the reason behind link cloaking. Once someone clicks it, they know who what the link goes to, right? And sometimes see your clickbank id or whatever it is you’re hiding.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your comments and sorry for not replying
to you all.

Bit rude of me but I have been a bit busy, no excuse
for it I know but sometimes life gets in the way.

@ Jaycee Dave Guindon does some good stuff indeed so you keep
using it.

@ Peter glad I could help, Pretty Links makes it so easy hard not to use it.

@ Remmi Your right, there are many out there, this is the one that I have found for me at least is easy and best to use.

@ Hey John hope you get some good use out of it.

@ Ted once they click it they go to they go to say the sales page that will so at the top if you are using clickbank a hoplink so most people will know it is an affiliate link and can swap your id for their own so save themselves some money if they buy through their link. with pretty links you can cloak it so they will only know it is a clickbank product and not one of your own when they click the order button.

Hi James,

I had Pretty Link installed a while ago, however I didn’t end up using it due to the links being really long.

Although I really should look back into it, because of its tracking features.

I really want to be able to track my links and apart from Google analytics I haven’t found a way to do that yet.

Hope all is going well. See you back here soon!

Cheers

Hey Jacinta,

The link is as long as your domain name really.

You could have
http://www.yourdomain.com/1
http://www.yourdomain.com/2

and so on if you really wanted.

Will check out your blog comment challenge later hope I can help or have helped depending if you need to leave or get comments.

Talk soon,

James

@James: A person that knows how to change the affiliate id will surely find a way to buy the product with his own id, no matter how “cloaked” the link is :)
