How To Get Website Traffic
ByIf you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
How do you get more traffic to your website?
Well there are two main sources of getting traffic to your website, they are:
Paid and Free.
Paying for traffic can be Pay Per Click Adwords Yahoo, press releases, Ezine advertising, solo ads or renting email list. Now there are courses for this but I’m not going to get into Paid traffic today.
How to Get Free Website Traffic
There are many ways of getting free website traffic and it is easier than you think, as long as you do it the right way.
Forum Posting
Posting useful information in forums can lead to great traffic to your website.
If your not familiar with forum post then all you need to know that in most forums you can add a signature in your profile now quite a few forums will not let you post affiliate links and doing so might get you banned so always check before you post but you can add your own website link.
If you are a regular poster and contribute to the forum not only the established members will take a look at your site but many new users that are looking for help will check out your website. In other words the more you can help others the more website traffic you will be getting and at the same time building backlinks to you website.
Two great forums to visit and not only catch up with some of the big guns but also get help if you need it are
http://www.warriorforum.com/
http://www.conqueryourniche.com/
Blog Hopping
Blog Hopping is basically taking time to visit other blogs in your niche and leaving comments, now you may be tempted just to visit as many blogs as you can and just put in a comment like, nice blog I will be back or I really liked your blog.
If you do this it is more than likely they will mark your comment as spam, I know I do it enough.
You have to take time to read the blog post and I would suggest if you don’t have anything useful to say then don’t post a comment.
You should try to take your time and not just post the first thing that comes into your head, by doing this and if you can give a good comment and and some value then not only will the visitors to the site visit YOUR site but you will be creating great links back to your website.
For a great example of this I am able to use myself and Alex Jeffreys.
I posted a comment on Alex Jeffreys blog http://marketingwithyou.com/ and he not only liked the post and sent me a thank you by way of dm on twitter, he did more than that.
HE PUT ME IN HIS REPORT. NEWBIES NIGHTMARE
Hell it was only my comment but, my comment had my twitter link in it and I managed to get quite a lot of targeted followers. These are not any old folks who have joined a “get 400 followers a day” site these are people who have read or were in the middle of reading an internet marketing guide and clicked my link to follow me. You can’t get much more targeted than that.
He asked me about it on Twitter last Monday in fact. That brings me to another great Traffic and back link generator, Twitter but that’s for another post my friends.

Hi James,
I always like free traffic. Not only because it’s free, it’s also quite sustainable especially with good quality contents. People will remember you being helpful or have read something useful from you and will likely to come back again in the future……and it’s free!!
Take care,

Hey Huddson,
Very true, I think the most important thing I have learnt is, try and be yourself.
That way they will get to know you and as you say if your content is good they will come back knowing the fact that they can learn something everytime they visit

James,
You got AJ on the tele… Good on you man..
Posting on blogs is cool, but you’re right you got to be sincere.

Hey Rob,
I like the title of your post will certainly be checking that out.
conquer your niche forum was created by Rusell Brunson a few years ago and has been going strong ever since.
If I can’t be sincere in a comment I tend not to post one. I think the main thing is not to post a comment just for the sake of it or just to get another link.
Wait until you find a post that you are interested in otherwise it will turn into something you think of as, another boring task you have to do. If you only post comments on something that interests you it will keep your comments fresh and you won’t get into tending to put the same sort of comment.
Be visiting you soon,
James

Hey James,
Good to see you over on my little blog page. Thanks for commenting. Thought I’d pay back the kind gesture.
You certainly seem to be following a similar journey to those of us on the course(s) so I hope you keep in touch and hopefully, in the not too distant future, we can help push each other on. Maybe a JV or such like. We’re all friends, not competitors!!

Hey Andy,
Thanks back at ya. I am trying to keep on the sort of journey as you guys, the difference is you are following the experts and I am following you, the students.
I have already learnt a lot from visiting a lot of your blogs (mostly what I have been doing wrong lol) so as you learn I learn.

Hey guys thanks for the visits
Hey Brad, Never though about leading a conversations, I have just been trying to help out now and again when I can.
Hey Tom, From the conquer your niche forum I became a moderator for a forum but it was a free ad forum that got sold and think it died out a long time ago but just goes to show what can happen and what conections can be made from the forums if they are used well.

James
Love your site.
I have been looking for ideas to improve my blog traffic. I had not thought about forum posting except for what I do in the AJ forums I don’t belong to any.
I guess I should join a couple.
Thanks

Hey James,
This is my first time over here, I’m not sure how I have missed you until now…!
Great post, I am looking heavily into traffic strategies at the moment, and as Rob said, I haven’t heard of http://www.conqueryourniche.com so I’ll be checking that one out in more detail.
A quick question though, have you ever done any press releases for any of your sites (paid or free) ? Just interested to know if it produced any results for you?
Great job over here,
Talk soon,

Hi James,
I just now saw the title of your last blog post at the end of your comment over on Rob Canyon’s blog. Isn’t that a neat plug-in that puts that link in there?
Anyway, your title interested me, “How to Get Website Traffic”, as that is exactly what I am trying to do (along with all the other Alex Jeffreys students). In fact, I have been doing some research on the subject and am in the middle of writing a post about that very thing. But mine is more on the line of using keywords. But your post here has given me some ideas.
I haven’t started visiting the forums, but certainly plan to do that very soon. (so much to do, so little time…) I also had not heard of the “conquer your niche forum”. I’ll definitely give that a try. Thanks for that suggestion.
Good post, great blog!

You can put any link you like in there, So you not only get traffic from you forum sig but the ads aswell.
